Letter From The Director…

It is a most wonderful blessing to be a part of the Open Door Ministry and to witness the miracle of recovery take place on a daily basis. The men that reside here are a part of it, the people that support us are a part of it, the staff that works here are a part of it, our Board is a part of it and all those that support us through volunteering or through financial contributions are a part of it. The point that I am getting at is that as a result of spending the time or resources to pass onto others what we have ultimately results in many blessings. Recently a good friend of the Open Door reminded me that one of the co-founders of AA wrote about the four reasons that he took the time to pass onto others what he had learned. They are: 1) A sense of duty 2) It is a pleasure 3) Because in doing so he is paying his debt to the man that took the time with him 4) Because every time he did it, it gave him insurance against a possible slip.

Keep paying it forward, keep passing it on!

Please help us, through your support, to continue helping homeless men recover from drug and alcohol addiction and returning to the community as productive, useful, clean and sober men.
